AGENCY FOR SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT VISION - ABOUT US
AGENCY FOR SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT VISION is a legal entity with non-profit purpose which works in public benefit, dully registered according the orders of the Law for the legal entities with non-profit purpose.
It was founded on 14 September 1995 and registered in the Varna Regional Court in February 1997.
The organization is a specialized service provider in the area of culture, business and social development.
The organization provides information and consulting, legal, administrative, methodic, creative, intermediary and other services in order to motivate its clients for activity and personal realization.
AGENCY FOR SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT VISION implements its own long-term programme for launching new and alternative models and forms of social advocacy for people with disabilities and other disadvantaged groups through development and realization of their preserved intellectual and labour potential.
The organization has over 60 implemented projects, some of them heralds of pilot European models and practices in the field of providing services for disadvantaged people with priority to the people with disabilities:
1997 - First in Bulgaria Information and Consulting Centre for Persons with Disabilities.
2000/2001 - Pilot project Building up System of Personal Assistants. The service “Personal Assistant” is provided in Bulgaria for the first time.
2001/2002 - Pilot project Community Services. Initial long-term programme for providing services for the community.
2003/2004 - European Cultural and Information Centre Vision - a new upper structure for the organization, developing completely the previous experience in the field of culture, business and social development with new elements of national and international partnerships.
2003 / 2008 - Initiator and participant in the development and realization of the unique in Bulgaria municipal Social programme.
2007 - First in Bulgaria National Forum of the service providers for persons with disabilities.
2008 - Second National Forum of the service providers for persons with disabilities in Bulgaria.
2009- Third Forum of service providers for persons with disabilities.
2010- Forth forum of service providers for persons with disabilities
AGENCY FOR SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT VISION is the first Bulgarian organization member of the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities /EASPD/ - since 2003. In 2008 the President of Agency Vision- Mr. Georgi Georgiev was elected for a member of EASPD’s Board.
