“Come to dance! Go out and try something new!” This is how the breaker Plamen Lyubenov has called his dance challenge to Varna’s citizens. The event was held on 17 January at 15:00 pm at Art Club Vision Hall. The challenge was addressed to persons with different skills and is part of Varna’s programme as a European Youth Capital. Plamen Lyubenov is a street dancer from Varna who is paralyzed from the waist down and uses a wheelchair, but this has not prevented him from developing his ability to dance and becoming a skilled dancer. He is going to sign a two-year contract with a professional Irish dance troupe.
He pointed out that one of the reasons for mounting this dance challenge was his desire to show that the differences between people let them have many options open to them and make new friends. During his performance, he demonstrated an integrated dance style enabling people with and without disabilities to dance together.
