On 17 February 2017 Agency Vision and the National Alliance for Social Responsibility (NASO) held a training session within the D-LoT project, coordinated by the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) and implemented in 15 CEE partner countries. The project aims to improve the capacities of professionals from the service provision sector.
During the training session an innovative e-learning platform was presented and 15 social service specialists from the towns of Varna, Yambol, Shumen, Ruse, Stara Zagora and Bourgas took part in the event. By the end of this month they will start studying the D-LoT course consisting of 10 training modules.
The meeting was opened by Zhaneta Georgieva, President of Agency for Social Development Vision.
Georgi Georgiev, President of NASO, welcomed the participants putting emphasis on how innovative and useful the D-LoT project was. He expressed his belief that some of the project activities and materials could be included in other trainings and projects implemented by social service providers.

Ilina Cholakova, Social Affairs Specialist at Agency Vision and project participant, demonstrated how to use the e-learning platform and gave detailed information about the contents of the 10 modules included in it. At the end of the training session the participants were divided into five groups in order to work together on the tasks of the modules.
The course is entirely in English, however, in order to facilitate the learning process and make the modules more accessible, five of them will be translated in Bulgarian language. After finishing the course, the learners will be awarded a certificate and get access to the EASPD network.
